QUAD 2025 Wave

    Soft + Powerful = Quad
The 2025 Quad represents a massive evolutionary step from its predecessor. It always seemed impossible to tune a powerful sail to be soft. But with the 2025 Quad, we’ve accomplished just that. Countless prototypes were needed, and we had to dig deep into our toolbox to realize the desired performance.

    The changes in detail:
A modification of the profiling in the boom area allows the Quad to stay completely flat when there’s no wind, providing a perfect on-off for maneuvers and wave riding. By incorporating the mast pocket, the maximum depth of the profile is still preserved. Once the sail catches the wind, it delivers plenty of power, but the thrust comes in very smoothly. With this controlled acceleration, you go full power into the next jump.

The trick is the completely newly developed luff curve. It ensures that every rider—whether light or heavy—can adjust their preferred trim. Anything from flat to extra-bellied is achievable. The required loose leech is automatically generated as well.

As is typical for Sailloft, the development was done specifically for each sail size. So, each size is tuned to the particular wind range in which the sail will be used. Depending on the requirements, the boom was shortened for better handling and/or the top was further adjusted to fine-tune the loose leech.

The result is the best Quad ever.
    Powerful but soft.

    Discipline:
    Wave, from side to onshore

    Color combinations:

    • Cyan / Orange
    • White / Orange
